Being considered as the essential factor in restoring our independence, November 17 has been engraved in the history with the establishment of the anti-soviet movement in Azerbaijan.
As a sign of conspiracy against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the anti-Azerbaijani policy of the Soviet empire on the Karabakh issue the long-term protests of Azerbaijanis started in Baku Azadlig Square, on November 17, 1988. These rallies later turned into a national liberation movement and turned out to be a predominant sparkle in the way of our country from chaos to political stability, from the economic recession to the renaissance.
We have been seperated from that day in 29-year difference. I congratulate and convey my best wishes to each of you on the National Revival Day that embodies the unity of our people and the struggle for independence.
