Nushaba Guliyeva, Counsellor of the rector of Azerbaijan University, PhD in History and Samira Mammadova, Head of Foreign Languages Department, PhD in Philology participated in “World Innovation Summit for Education” (WISE-2017) in Doha, the capital city of Qatar.
The Azerbaijani delegation met with the representatives of various universities, educational centers and agencies around the world within the panels organized in the summit and exchanged views on implementing student and teacher exchange, bilateral diplomacy and joint projects.
The world's most creative leaders, entrepreneurs, teachers in the fields of education, technology, politics, social entrepreneurship, business, media, etc. participated in the International Summit. The event was memorable with interesting moments with the participation of more than 2,000 delegates from 100 countries around the world to share their visions for co-designing the future of education.
In the speeches, the theme "to live and exist together" was brought to the forefront. Discussions on “The role of education in fostering social change”, “Rethink and reorganize learning methods in an age of disruption and uncertainty” and other issues were held in the panel, sessions and sections organized within the framework of the three-day summit.
