A literary-artistic composition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was presented by the Student Youth Organization of the Azerbaijan University. The event began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the Khojaly genocide. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

Vice-rector for scientific affairs of Azerbaijan University Yusif Gasimov and the first deputy head of the Nasimi District Executive Power, Gulara Verdiyeva spoke at the event. They spoke about the importance of the Khojaly genocide in the struggle for the protection of Azerbaijan's independence and restoration of territorial integrity, the obligations and tasks set for students by the great victory we won in the 44-day Patriotic War.

After the speeches, the participants watched a video and a literary-artistic composition prepared by members of the Student Youth Organization. The literary-artistic composition consisted of poems, songs a scene called "Dull Light" reflecting the night of the genocide
