Announcement of the student research paper competition: “Azerbaijan is an independent actor in the global economy”

The Faculty of Business and Economics, Department of Finance and Accounting at Azerbaijan University, in collaboration with the Student Scientific Society of the Faculty and within the framework of the “Year of constitution and sovereignty”, announces a competition for “Best Student Research Paper” among Azerbaijan University students on the topic “Azerbaijan is an independent actor in the global economy”.
The aim of the competition is to expand students understanding the role of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the global economy and its participation in international economic relations, as well as to encourage the development of practical recommendations in this field.
Eligible research topics for the competition:
- Political, economic, and legal foundations of state sovereignty
- Globalization processes and the integration of the Republic of Azerbaijan into the world economy
- The position of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the global economy
- Key areas of Azerbaijan’s participation in international economic relations
- The role of the Republic of Azerbaijan in ensuring global energy security
Submissions will be evaluated by a special committee based on the following criteria:
- Relevance and scientific novelty of the topic
- Originality of the research approach
- Theoretical and practical significance of the work
Awards ceremony:
- The award ceremony for the winners will take place at Azerbaijan University on September 20, 2025 on the State Sovereignty Day.
- Winners will receive 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place diplomas and prizes, and all participants will receive certificates of participation.
- Additionally, the top 3 research papers, selected by the competition committee, will be submitted for publication in the “Paradigma” journal.
Submission guidelines:
- Research papers must be prepared in Microsoft Word, in Azerbaijani, and must include: a title page, table of contents, introduction, main body, conclusion, and list of references.
- Length of work: 6 to 10 pages; format: A4; font: Times New Roman, size 14; margins: 3 cm left, 2 cm right/top/bottom; line spacing: 1.5; paragraph indentation: 1.25 cm.
- Students wishing to participate must submit their papers by June 25, 2025 to the following email: elm@au.edu.az.
