12 students of Azerbaijan University to study abroad in the spring semester
Twelve students of Azerbaijan University have earned the right to continue their studies at partner universities in Turkiye, Italy, Germany, and Poland within the framework of international double degree and interuniversity exchange programs. Nine undergraduate and three graduate students will study abroad during the spring semester of the 2025/2026 academic year in accordance with the University`s internationalization strategy. In addition to academic studies, the students will also undertake professional internships. All participants will be provided with scholarships.
The international double degree program significantly enhances graduates` competitiveness in the global labor market by enabling them to obtain two internationally recognized diplomas. Students participating in exchange programs are exposed to diverse academic approaches and teaching methodologies. This experience contributes to the improvement of their language proficiency, broadens their perspectives, and fosters independent thinking, adaptability, and effective engagement within an international academic environment. Completing internships abroad in real professional settings also plays a crucial role in shaping their future career planning.
Ilgar Mammadov, a second-year MBA student majoring in Marketing (English-medium program), will spend the spring semester in Italy as the second student selected for the International Double Degree Program implemented jointly with the University of Tuscia. Upon successful completion of the program, he will receive a master`s degree in the relevant field along with diplomas from both Azerbaijan University and the University of Tuscia.
Fariz Shukurov, another second-year MBA student in Marketing (English-medium program), will study at the University of Koblenz in Germany within the framework of the interuniversity exchange program. Sattar Ismayilov, a second-year undergraduate student majoring in Management, will also continue his studies at the University of Koblenz in the autumn semester.
Nurjan Seydaliyeva, a third-year student majoring in Information Security, and Natella Saadova, a third-year student majoring in International Relations, are preparing to study at Sapienza University of Rome in Italy, while Nurjan Ismayilova, a third-year student majoring in Marketing, will continue her studies at Kastamonu University in Turkiye under the interuniversity exchange program. Arkan Adishli, a first-year master`s student in Economic Regulation, is among those selected to study in Turkiye and will spend the spring semester at Anadolu University.
Fakhri Mammadli, a third-year student majoring in Business Administration, and Aysel Musayeva, a third-year student majoring in Accounting, will continue their studies at the Krakow University of Economics in Poland.
Fourth-year students of the Information Security program, Yunis Badalov and Nihad Aliyev, as well as Sabina Jalilova, a fourth-year student majoring in Political Science, will undertake professional internships at Necmettin Erbakan University in Turkiye. During the internship period, the students will participate in academic and practical activities within the relevant faculties and structural units of the host university. This experience will contribute to the development of their professional competencies, familiarization with international standards, and reinforcement of theoretical knowledge through practical international exposure.
Upon completion of their international internships, the students will continue their practical training at local enterprises in order to apply the knowledge and skills acquired abroad. This stage will facilitate the integration of international experience into the local professional environment.
It should be noted that the coordination of scholarship-based study abroad programs is carried out by the International Relations Department. Students wishing to participate in short-term study programs at partner universities within the framework of exchange programs may contact the International
Relations Department (4th floor, Room 504) for detailed information. Applicants to exchange programs are required to demonstrate high academic performance.
