Azerbaijan University awarded 4 stars following QS Stars audit
Azerbaijan University has been awarded 4 stars as a result of the QS Stars audit, conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), one of the world’s most reputable university ranking agencies.
This achievement - secured during the University’s first-ever participation in the QS rating system - reflects the impact of recent institutional reforms, continuous improvement in the quality of education, a student-centered approach, the expansion of international partnerships, the strengthening of global academic ties, and the steady rise of the University’s research performance according to internationally recognized scientific metrics.

It is also worth noting that Azerbaijan remains the only country in the South Caucasus region to be represented in the mathematics category of this ranking.
As of 2025, the Azerbaijan University’s H-index reached 36 in the Web of Science database and 40 in Scopus, securing 5th place nationwide on both platforms in research metrics.
