The Model UN Club of Azerbaijan University has started its activity. The Club was established as part of the AzMUN program, implemented by the Union of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, and the United Nations Office in Azerbaijan.

The Club will organize simulations of UN bodies, while students will engage in debates and discussions on various topics, representing different countries as well as international organizations.

An infosession was held for University students to introduce the newly established Model UN Club. During the session, participants were provided with information about the AzMUN program, the history, essence, and objectives of the Model UN movement, as well as its activities within Azerbaijan. It was emphasized that the Model UN offers students the opportunity to gain valuable experience in representing their country on the international stage.

As part of the session, a mock UN conference environment was created. Volunteers selected from among the participants, representing various countries, delivered reports on “International sanctions and their impact on global stability”.
