The advisor to the Rector of Azerbaijan University, Director of the International Center for Master’s and Doctoral Studies, PhD in History, assoc. prof. Nushaba Guliyeva, and the head of the Department of Political and Social Sciences, PhD in Political Science, assoc. prof. Elvin Talyshinski, have been awarded the title of Honorary Doctor by Mamun University of Uzbekistan.

The Rector of Mamun University, Sardorbek Sharifzoda, highly praised the professional and academic achievements of the Azerbaijani scholars, as well as their contribution to scientific cooperation in the region and the strengthening of academic ties between the two countries. The Academic Council of Mamun University decided to confer the title of Honorary Doctor upon Nushaba Guliyeva and Elvin Talyshinski. The Honorary Doctorate diplomas of Mamun University were presented to the Azerbaijan University staff members.

It is noteworthy that assoc. prof. Elvin Talyshinski, head of the Department of Political and Social Sciences, has been delivering lectures to students at several universities in Uzbekistan, including Mamun University, since the previous academic year.
