As part of the “Brand Student” project, organized jointly by the educational portal AzEdu.az and higher education institutions, Azerbaijan University hosted the award ceremony for its “Brand Students”. The event was attended by Laman Novruzova, Editor-in-Chief of AzEdu.az, Lala Dilanova, Head of the Public Relations Department of Azerbaijan University, Asif Pashayev, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies, Safar Mammadov, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Tural Gojaev, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, and the students honored with this title.

The award ceremony began with a welcoming speech by Lala Dilanova, who congratulated the students awarded the “Brand Student” title. “You are recognized not only for your academic achievements but also for your personal development, civic engagement, exemplary behavior, and the way you represent our University. Today you are students, and tomorrow you will take leading positions in various professional fields. I am confident that you have the potential to become a brand wherever you go”, emphasized the Department Head.

Laman Novruzova explained the essence of the event: “I sincerely congratulate all students awarded this title. I think being selected as one of the ten students from thousands is both an honor and a responsibility. Inclusion in this list by the University leadership is a high recognition of your knowledge, skills, and activity”.

In her speech, the Editor-in-Chief described the project, noting that the “Brand Student” initiative has been implemented by AzEdu.az for three years. While in the first year only 20 universities collaborated with the portal, this year the number increased to 29, demonstrating the trust universities place in AzEdu.az. Novruzova highlighted that participants are selected based on objective criteria, including academic performance, commitment to national values, leadership qualities, involvement in community and volunteer activities, exemplary conduct on social media, and civic engagement. “Our goal is to create a healthy competitive environment among students, showcase outstanding young people to the public, and provide them with additional motivation. This also serves as an example for other students. I am confident that this initiative will positively impact the future activities of each of you. I thank everyone involved and wish you success”, she added.

Asif Pashayev also congratulated the students: “Selecting students based on these criteria is not easy. However, the young people sitting here today are the most deserving candidates. I wish each of you to maintain your brand in your professional field even after graduation. We have always supported our graduates and will continue to do so. This project provides great motivation both for selected students and for younger students in other years. Already, first- and second-year students are showing interest in the ‘Brand Student’ title, aspiring to earn it. This aligns with the main goal of the project – fostering a motivational and competitive environment among students. I thank our guests for this noble initiative and wish the project sustainable development”.

The Ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards to the “Brand Students” and a commemorative photo session.
