Textbook by Azerbaijan University Faculty Member Published
A textbook by Dr. Khayala Jafarova, senior lecturer at the Department of Translation and Philology of Azerbaijan University and PhD in Philology, has been released under the title “Romanticism and American Literature: Influence, Development, and Literary Figures”.
The textbook provides a systematic analysis of the origins of Romanticism, the stages of its development, and the key ideological and aesthetic features of American Romanticism, as well as its interaction with European Romanticism. The author offers a scholarly explanation of the philosophical and artistic principles of the movement, along with the literary and cultural factors that contributed to its formation.
The book explores the works of Edgar Allan Poe, Herman Melville, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Walt Whitman, James Fenimore Cooper, and other prominent literary figures within the framework of Romantic aesthetics.
It should be noted that the textbook was approved for publication by the Academic Council of Azerbaijan University and is intended for students majoring in Philology and Foreign Literature.
