Ulviyya Mirzayeva, a lecturer at the Department of Social Work Organization at Azerbaijan University, took part in the 17th International Scientific Conference on “Knowledge - Economy – Society” held in Krakow, Poland.

At the conference, organized by the College of Management and Quality Sciences of Krakow University of Economics, Ulviyya Mirzayeva delivered a presentation titled “Social Services in the Field of Child Welfare: International and Local Practices, and the Necessity of Establishing a Social Work Institution for Child Welfare in Azerbaijan”. In her presentation, she analyzed the current situation in this field in Azerbaijan and emphasized the importance of establishing a specialized social work institute for children. She noted that such an institute could play a crucial role in ensuring early intervention, improving developmental outcomes, and protecting children from vulnerable groups.

It is worth mentioning that the conference, traditionally held every year, is regarded as an important platform not only for young researchers to present their work to a broad audience but also for fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration between the academic community and the business sector.
