Lecturers of Azerbaijan University attended the Azerbaijan - Kazakhstan Summer Youth School
Faculty members of Azerbaijan University took part in the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Summer Youth School held at the Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh.Yessenov in Aktau, Kazakhstan. The event was organized at the initiative of the Azerbaijan Center operating at the University, with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Aktau.
Head of the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Azerbaijan University, PhD in Political Science, Assoc. Prof. Elvin Talyshinski, and Department lecturer, PhD in Political Science Eldar Jafarov, delivered lectures to the Summer School students dedicated to the topic: “Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan: strengthening ties in the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty”. Their lectures covered topics such as the history and culture of Azerbaijan, prospects for the development of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the political significance of the Caspian Sea, constitutional development, the history of sovereignty, and intercultural dialogue.
As part of the Summer School program, participants visited the museum dedicated to Abish Kekilbayev, a prominent figure in contemporary Kazakh literature, and took an excursion to the Caspian Sea.
The Summer School provided young participants with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the history, culture, and public life of both Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
The closing ceremony of the program was attended by the Consuls General of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. During the event, Azerbaijan University representatives Elvin Talyshinski and Eldar Jafarov were awarded honorary diplomas by Berik Akhmetov, Rector of Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh.Yessenov, Aykhan Suleymanli, Consul General of Azerbaijan in Aktau, and Ilkin Orujov, Director of the Azerbaijan Center.
