Aygun Shukurova, a first-year student majoring in Social Work Organization at Azerbaijan University, has been selected as a winner of the “Hanifa Malikova-Zardabi Girls’ Education Support Scholarship Program” for 2025. The program is implemented within the framework of the “Support for Girls’ Education” project, carried out in cooperation with the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Education, and the Education Development Fund.

At the scholarship presentation ceremony, the names of the recipients were announced, and certificates were awarded to 93 female students selected for the program, including the Azerbaijan University student. Aygun Shukurova’s certificate was presented by Yusif Gasimov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs at Azerbaijan University.

The presentation ceremony aimed to introduce the girls who have just joined the project and provide information about the program and its areas of activity. The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, the private sector, higher education institutions, and partner organizations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Bahar Muradova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, emphasized that the project is one of the important steps toward women’s education and development. In his speech, Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education, highlighted that supporting girls education is of great importance not only for individual development but also for the progress of society as a whole.

The awarding ceremony concluded with a cultural performance.

It should be noted that the Hanifa Malikova-Zardabi Scholarship Program has been implemented since 2021 and has supported the educational and professional development of more than 250 female students.
