Today, Azerbaijan University is hosting the opening of the 2nd International Conference on Social Work & Social Research. The two-day conference, dedicated to the Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty, is organized and hosted by Azerbaijan University in collaboration with the Center for Social Research, Firat University (Turkiye), and Recep Tayyip Erdogan University (Turkiye).

Registration will take place from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by the official opening ceremony at 10:00 AM. The event will begin with a welcome speech delivered by Saadat Aliyeva, rector of Azerbaijan University and PhD in Philology.

Following the opening ceremony, the plenary session will commence. During the plenary session, participants will hear presentations by Yasuhiro Kotera, prof. at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, and Stefan Cojocaru, prof. at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Romania. The plenary session will be chaired by Yusif Gasimov, Vice-rector for Research at Azerbaijan University.

The conference will continue with parallel section sessions after the lunch break.

The international conference will conclude tomorrow, while on Sunday, international participants will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Baku’s historic center and the Gobustan region.
