The Conversation Club, organized by the Department of Foreign Languages at Azerbaijan University, has commenced its sessions for the 2025/2026 academic year. At the first meeting of the current academic year, students had the opportunity to meet and interact with Johnae Spain, who joined the University’s faculty as a teaching assistant in the Department of Foreign Languages under the U.S. government-funded Fulbright international exchange program.

The topic of the meeting was “General Introduction.” Students from various faculties and specialities actively participated, introduced themselves in English, and engaged in conversations with one another.

The main goal of the Club is to develop students’ communication skills and fluency in English, while providing a platform for discussion and exchange of ideas on a variety of topics.

It should be noted that the Conversation Club sessions in the fall semester of 2025/2026 will be held weekly on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. Students enrolled at Azerbaijan University who wish to improve their spoken English are encouraged to contact the Department of Foreign Languages to join the Conversation Club.
