A business meeting was held at Azerbaijan University to discuss cooperation opportunities with a delegation from Tashkent State University of Economics of Uzbekistan. The delegation of Tashkent State University of Economics was represented by Narboy Karimov, Director of the Center for retraining and advanced training of academic staff; Zukhra Babaeva, Head of the Department of International Relations; Farida Khamidova, the Department Head; Shakhzod Saadullaev, Senior Researcher; and Jamol Bobozhonov, Methodologist. Azerbaijan University was represented by Yusif Gasimov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs; Nushaba Guliyeva, Rector’s Advisor and Director of the International Master’s and Doctoral Center; and Elmira Ismayilova, Head of the Department of International Relations.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on issues such as establishing and strengthening academic cooperation, sharing experience in the professional development of teaching staff, launching joint educational initiatives, and implementing faculty and student exchange programmes. The prospects for mutual cooperation were also discussed. It was agreed to formalise relations between the universities as soon as possible through an appropriate tool.

The meeting concluded with the exchange of gifts.
