At the initiative of the “Denver II Child Development Support Association” Public Union, a training of the same name was organized at Azerbaijan University within the framework of the “Assessment of Children with the Denver II Methodology” project.

The same titled training was organized at Azerbaijan University within the framework of the project “Assessment of children using the Denver II Methodology”, initiated by the “Denver II Child Development Support Association” Public Union. The purpose of the training, which was attended by undergraduate students majoring in Social Work, was to promote the methodology and train future specialists who will work with children in conducting assessments using the Denver methodology.

During the training, delivered by Ulviyya Mirzayeva, a lecturer at the Department of Social Work Organization, participants acquired practical skills in applying the Denver II screening methodology. The use of the Denver methodology enables social workers to identify potential health and developmental problems in children at an early stage.

It should be noted that early-age measurement and assessment are used to obtain information about children’s comprehensive development, to monitor a child’s developmental progress during the learning process, and to identify children who require special care. The Denver test is designed to determine whether children have acquired age-appropriate skills. The project is being implemented with the support of the Agency for State Support to NGOs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
