French-Azerbaijani relations were discussed at the Diplomatic Table
French-Azerbaijani relations were the focus of discussion during the second round of the simulation project “Diplomatic Table”, held in a championship format this year by the Young Diplomats Club under the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Azerbaijan University.
In this round, young diplomats tackled pressing topics such as “France’s role in the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace negotiations”, “The impact of EU delegation monitoring and related activities along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border on French-Azerbaijani relations”, and “French-Azerbaijani ties in the context of Azerbaijan-EU energy cooperation and evolving geopolitical dynamics”.
The participants engaged in reciprocal exchanges, offering thoughtful and productive discussions supported by factual references and visual materials to substantiate their arguments.
It is worth noting that the primary objective of the championship is to foster key skills among students, such as public speaking, independent research, and debating. After each round, participating teams are evaluated by faculty members of the Department of Political and Social Sciences based on several criteria and the team with high scores advance to the next stage of the competition.
