Israeli-Palestinian relations were discussed at the “Diplomatic Table”
The simulation project “Diplomatic Table”, organized by the Young Diplomats Club operating under the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Azerbaijan University, is successfully continuing. The third session of the project was dedicated to the Israeli-Palestinian relations, a topic that has remained at the forefront of the global agenda for many years.
During the session, the young diplomats, representing both sides of the conflict, presented well-reasoned arguments supporting their positions on the following topics: “The Israeli government’s settlement policy in the Palestinian West Bank”, “Prospects for sustainable peace in the Gaza Strip” and “Legal and rational solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict”. To enrich the discussion and increase interactivity, participants presented photo and video materials in support of their arguments.
It is worth noting that the main goal of the championship is to foster students’ public speaking, independent research, and debating skills. After session, the teams participating in the simulation are evaluated by faculty members of the Department of Political and Social Sciences based on a range of criteria, and the team with the highest score advances to the next round.
