Preliminary review of the dissertation titled “Means of expressing the past in the narrative structure of contemporary english-language literary texts”, authored by doctoral candidate Yegana Khaladdin Isgandarova, was conducted at a meeting of the Department of Translation and Philology.

The dissertation presented at the meeting chaired by Gulnar Rzayeva, head of the Department of Translation and Philology, PhD in Philology, was discussed and highly praised as a completed scientific research work.

At the conclusion, it was noted that the dissertation meets the standards set by the Supreme Attestation Commission for PhD dissertations in Philology, and a decision was made to recommend the work for the next stage of the defense process.

The scientific advisor for the dissertation is Prof. Azad Mammadov, Doctor of Philological Sciences.
