At the initiative of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a lecture was organized for students of the Faculty of Business and Economics of Azerbaijan University. The lecture, delivered by Shamsi Rzali, a representative of the Agency, was devoted to the topic “The nature and investigation of abuse of dominant position”.

During the lecture, Shamsi Rzali provided students with detailed information on the concept of a dominant position, the criteria for its determination, and cases of abuse thereof. The lecture examined practices that distort the competitive environment, drawing on examples from international experience, as well as the norms and regulations stipulated in Azerbaijan’s competition law.

At the conclusion, questions of interest to the students were addressed.

It should be noted that the lecture was organized within the framework of a project aimed at conducting educational open classes and lectures in line with the areas of activity of the State Agency, with the objective of supporting students’ personal and professional development and enhancing their scientific and practical knowledge.
