New textbook by head of the Department of Political and Social Sciences Elvin Talishinsky published
A new textbook titled “The Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Fundamentals of Law”, authored by Elvin Talishinsky, head of the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Azerbaijan University, PhD in Political Science, and assoc. prof., has been published.
The textbook explains the constitutional structure of the country, key legal concepts, and the role of citizens within the legal system. Alongside fundamental concepts such as the nature of law, legal norms, legal relations, and legal responsibility, the textbook elaborates on the role of the Constitution as the supreme legal document of the state. It provides a detailed overview of the rights of individuals and citizens enshrined in the Constitution, mechanisms for their protection, and the division of state power into three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial.
Aimed at fostering legal thinking, raising legal awareness, and enhancing civic responsibility, the textbook also explains the rights and obligations of citizens as well as the principles governing the activities of local self-government bodies (municipalities).
