The employees of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population held an awareness-rising event on “Fight against human trafficking” to the students of Azerbaijan University majoring in Social Work.

The session featured presentations by Habiba Garibova, Director of the Agency’s Center for Assistance to Victims of Human Trafficking, and Sabrina Gurbanova, a social worker at the Center.

Director Habiba Garibova delivered an in-depth overview of the Center’s operations, the various forms of human trafficking, methods for identifying trafficking victims, types of support provided to victims, and the overall measures taken to combat human trafficking.

Following her presentation, students participated in group work under the guidance of social worker Sabrina Gurbanova, exploring the topic in practical terms.

The session concluded with a Q&A segment, during which students received responses to their questions.
