The Department of Foreign Languages at Azerbaijan University held an essay competition dedicated to the year of “Constitution and Sovereignty”. The aim of the competition was to develop students' skills in expressing the essence of constitutional values and the concept of sovereignty in English.

16 students studying in various specialties and courses participated in the one-stage competition. The students essays consisting of 220-250 words were evaluated by the lecturers of the Department.

According to the results of the essay competition, 1st place went to Shirin Abdullayeva (Economics, English-medium education), 2nd place to Gulnara Suleymanova (Marketing, English-medium education), and 3rd place to Vusala Mammadbayova (Business Administration, English-medium education).

All students who participated in the competition were awarded certificates for their activity, and the winners were awarded diplomas.

It should be noted that the essay competition was organized in accordance with the Action Plan of Azerbaijan University implemented within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty”.
