Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation has been signed between Azerbaijan University and Central Asian University

A Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation was signed between Azerbaijan University and Central Asian University of Uzbekistan. The Memorandum was signed by Saadat Aliyeva, Rector of Azerbaijan University, PhD in Pholology, and Kamran Gulamov, Rector of Central Asian University.

Prior to the signing ceremony, a meeting of the delegations was held. The meeting, which was also attended by Nushaba Guliyeva, Advisor to the Rector of Azerbaijan University and Director of the International Center for Master’s and Doctoral Studies; Elmira Ismayilova, Head of the International Relations Department; and Shirin Yunusova, the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of Central Asian University, included an exchange of views on student and faculty exchange, joint scientific projects, the implementation of dual-degree programs, other areas of academic and research cooperation, as well as the implementation of matters arising from the Memorandum.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, within the framework of the QS Eurasia Forum 2025, organized by the international ranking agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and held at the Central Asian University campus. A delegation led by Saadat Aliyeva, Rector of Azerbaijan University, participated in the Forum. The document supports Azerbaijan University’s key internationalization priorities, creates conditions for the more systematic organization of partnerships with foreign higher education institutions, joint educational and research activities, and student and faculty mobility.

It should be noted that Central Asian University, founded in 2019, is one of the most dynamically developing private higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. The University offers international academic programs in medicine, dentistry, business, engineering, tourism, and other in-demand fields. Its modern campus infrastructure, internationally experienced faculty, and practice-oriented educational model make Central Asian University an attractive higher education hub for students in the region.
