A meeting between the head of the Eurasia Translation Center, Narmin Huseynova, the Center’s specialists, and students was held at Azerbaijan University. The meeting was organized by the “Young Translators” Student Club operating under the Department of Translation and Philology and was attended by the Department management and academic staff, as well as students majoring in Translation and Philology.

During the meeting, students were provided with detailed information on the relevance of translation activities in the context of modern globalization, the growing demand for professional translators, areas of specialization, technological innovations in the field, and current as well as prospective labor market opportunities. Exchange of views also took place on existing career opportunities for young translators, internship programs, professional development pathways, and the core knowledge and skills required to succeed in the translation market.

The meeting was enriched with practical sessions, including hands-on exercises based on real-life translation examples. This approach enabled participating students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical skills.

The meeting between students and professional translators concluded with a Q&A session. The guests stated that career-oriented and educational events are planned to be held in the future in collaboration with the “Young Translators” Student Club.
