Vice-rector Yusif Gasymov`s monograph was published in Taylor & Francis publishing house
The monograph titled “Modern Computational Methods for Solving Fractional Differential Equations” by Dr. Yusif Gasymov, vice-rector for Scientific Affairs of Azerbaijan University and Dr. of Mathematical Sciences, has been published by Taylor & Francis, one of the world’s most renowned academic publishers. The book was co-authored by distinguished mathematicians Hossein Jafari and Haleh Tajadodi.
The study and application of fractional differential equations have a long-standing history. However, recent research has demonstrated that such equations offer more accurate modeling of many real-world processes. Consequently, interest in this field has significantly increased, leading to the development of novel solution methods.
Based on the authors’ recent research findings, the monograph comprises seven chapters. It presents a range of analytical and semi-analytical methods for obtaining exact and approximate solutions to fractional differential equations, fractional integral equations, and fractional partial differential equations. These methods include the Adomian Decomposition Method, Homotopy Perturbation Method, Homotopy Analysis Method, Differential Transform Method, and Variational Iteration Method. The book also covers several numerical techniques, such as the Adams–Bashforth–Moulton Method, Operational Matrices, and Wavelet Methods, which are used to solve various types of fractional differential equations numerically.
At the end of each chapter, the monograph provides applications of the proposed methods to specific problems, accompanied by graphical representations of the results-enhancing its practical value for diverse areas of application.
It is our hope that this book will serve as a valuable resource for researchers and students engaged in the study of fractional differential equations.
