Azerbaijan University was represented at the “QS Eurasia Forum 2025”
A delegation from Azerbaijan University took part in the QS Eurasia Forum 2025, held on 25–26 November at the Central Asian University in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The theme of this year’s forum was “Broadening horizons: Building global bridges in higher education”.
The Azerbaijan University delegation included Rector Saadat Aliyeva, PhD in Philology; Vice-Rector for General Affairs Vusal Aliyev; Advisor to the Rector and Director of the International Center for Master’s and Doctoral Studies Nushaba Guliyeva; Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yusif Gasimov; and Head of the Department of International Relations Elmira Ismayilova.
The forum brought together the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev; the Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education Ulkar Sattarova; the First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan Sardor Radjabov; the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan Nurbek Sayasat; QS Quacquarelli Symonds President and Chairman of the Board of Directors Nunzio Quacquarelli; as well as university rectors, vice-rectors, and other official representatives from various countries. The event aimed to transform the scientific and educational potential of the Eurasian region into a globally recognized brand, enhance the competitiveness of higher education institutions, strengthen universities’ positions in international rankings, and promote the exchange of experience in expanding academic cooperation.
As part of the forum program, Rector of Azerbaijan University Saadat Aliyeva spoke at the panel discussion “Breaking barriers: Women shaping Eurasian higher education”. In her address, she provided comprehensive insights into the role of women in education and science, the challenges and achievements they encounter, and the strategic importance of internationalization for the University.
The participation of Azerbaijan University in the QS Eurasia Forum 2025 serves as an important indicator of the institution’s strong commitment to international academic cooperation, the systematic development of ties with global educational networks, and its active engagement in the regional academic community.
