Azerbaijan University awarded the “QS Stars” distinction
Azerbaijan University has been awarded the QS 4 Stars distinction at the QS Eurasia Forum 2025, held on 25–26 November at the Central Asian University in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The certificate confirming the University’s QS Stars (4 Stars) rating was presented to the Rector of Azerbaijan University, PhD in Philology Saadat Aliyeva, by Nunzio Quacquarelli, President and Chairman of the Board of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
This award represents international recognition of Azerbaijan University’s achievements in the areas of quality of education, internationalization, student satisfaction, and institutional development. The University’s high score in the QS Stars assessment confirms that its activities meet international standards, enhance its reputation in the global higher education arena, and further expand opportunities for cooperation with international partners.
QS Stars, the world’s most prestigious international university rating system developed by Quacquarelli Symonds, evaluates universities across a wide range of criteria. These include research activity, teaching quality, infrastructure, diversity, equity and inclusion, internationalization, graduate employability, participation in international projects, and other indicators. The QS rating system provides an objective overview of universities’ strengths, increases their international competitiveness, and contributes to their global recognition.
It should also be noted that a delegation led by Rector of Azerbaijan University, Saadat Aliyeva, took part in the QS Eurasia Forum 2025. Within the framework of the forum, Rector Aliyeva spoke at the panel discussion titled “Breaking barriers: Women shaping Eurasian higher education”.
