Rector of Azerbaijan University, PhD in Philology Saadat Aliyeva, met with students who were admitted to the University with high scores for the 2025/2026 academic year. The meeting, held on the eve of Victory Day - 8 November, brought together also students who received this distinction in the fall semester as part of the University’s “Star Student” project.

During the meeting, which took place in a warm and sincere atmosphere, the Rector congratulated the students on their outstanding results and informed them about the academic and personal development opportunities available to them at the University. Highlighting recent innovations and improvements in these areas, Saadat Aliyeva encouraged the students to make effective use of these opportunities and to actively participate in programs and projects. She emphasized that Azerbaijan University is the right place for students to become highly qualified professionals. The conditions created for students, the open communication environment, and strong support mechanisms distinguish the University as a student-centered institution of higher education.

In her remarks, the Rector also offered recommendations regarding university life and future career plans. She noted that commitment to moral values, diligence, reading, discipline, and social skills plays no less important a role in shaping young people than professional knowledge. Each of these qualities contributes to students’ development as individuals and helps cultivate responsible and valuable members of society.

The Rector also listened to the students’ expectations, ideas, and suggestions. Engaging in a discussion with them about adaptation to university life, the educational process, and future plans, Saadat Aliyeva noted that their ideas will contribute to the further enrichment of university life.

Wishing the students success in their academic journey, the Rector stated that they are receiving higher education during one of the most prosperous periods in Azerbaijan’s history: “You are students of an era when our nation lives in the spirit of Victory and triumph. You are the youth who will shape the future of our country and build tomorrow. Being a student in the most remarkable days of our nation is both a responsibility and a great honor”.

The students participating in the meeting: Konul Mammadova, Huseyn Hasanoglu, Sabuhi Hasanov, Lamiya Mammadzada, Aynur Guliyeva, and Yunis Badalov, expressed their understanding of the responsibility placed upon them, affirmed their intention to work diligently in line with this call, and thanked the Rector for the sincere and inspiring meeting.
