Faculty Members of the Department of Political and Social Sciences delivered presentations at a conference held in Kazakhstan
The head of the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Azerbaijan University, Assoc. Prof. Elvin Talishinsky, and a faculty member of the Department, Dr. of Political Sciences Eldar Jafarov, delivered plenary presentations at the scientific and practical conference titled “Heydar Aliyev and Kazakhstan: Leadership and Continuity in the Modern Era”. The Conference was held at the Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yessenov in Kazakhstan and was dedicated to the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Presentation by Elvin Talishinsky was devoted to the topic “From Baku to Astana: Leadership Lessons from Heydar Aliyev for the Modern State”, while Eldar Jafarov’s presentation focused on “The Role of Heydar Aliyev in Shaping the Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan”.
Organized in a hybrid format with the support of the Department of International Relations of the Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yessenov, Azerbaijan Center and the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Aktau, the event was attended by the Rector of the host University, Berik Akhmetov; heads of the Consulates General of Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and the Islamic Republic of Iran in Aktau; diplomats, public figures, Kazakh and Azerbaijani scholars, as well as students.
During the Conference, moderated by Ilkin Orujov, Director of the Azerbaijan Center, analytical presentations were delivered on the political and spiritual legacy of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, his role in strengthening Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan cooperation, and the development of relations among Turkic states.
Within the framework of the Conference, a book exhibition dedicated to the public activities of the National Leader and his historical contribution to the formation of modern Azerbaijan was also organized.
