Wikipedia training was organized by the Student Scientific Society of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Azerbaijan University. 20 students participated in the training conducted by Azerbaijani Wikipedia Patrol, representative of the country and student of Azerbaijan University Aida Aslanova.

The event was opened by the chairman of the Student Scientific Society Solmaz Ilyaszada, who greeted the participants and introduced the speaker. In her speech, she spoke about the importance of the Wikipedia platform in the modern information society, the growing interest and demand in this area.

Then, starting the training, Aida Aslanova informed the participants about such topics as “Structure and rules of Wikipedia”, “Encyclopedic writing style”, “Correct indication of sources”, “Verification and clarification of articles”. In the practical part of the training, tasks on creating, editing and enriching user accounts and articles were performed with the participants.

At the end of the training, all participants were awarded certificates.
