Students of the Faculty of Business and Economics visited “Zarat” Group of Companies

A field trip was organized for final-year students of the Faculty of Business and Economics at Azerbaijan University, majoring in Business Management, to the Zarat Import Export LLC Group of Companies. The field trip was initiated and oragnized by the Department of Economics and Management.

Accompanied by faculty members Ruhangiz Aliyeva, Jala Aliyeva, and Ulviyya Mehdiyeva, along with Elnara Jabbarova, HR Manager of Zarat Import Export LLC, the students first visited the Zarat Poultry facility located in the Digah settlement of the Absheron district. The visit then continued to the Zarat Feed Factory operating in the Siyazan district.

During the visit, students received comprehensive briefings on the Zarat Import Export LLC operations, mission, and business policies by Emin Safarov, CEO of the Company; Farid Mammadov, Executive Director of Zarat Anbar; Nijat Yusifov, Director of Zarat Feed Factory; and Elnara Jabbarova, HR Manager, who shared insights on modern business strategies. Department heads also introduced students to the specifics of production and storage processes.

At Zarat Poultry Factory, students had the opportunity to observe firsthand the production process of the company’s poultry brand “Simurgh”. They toured the Factory’s modern, technologically equipped production lines and witnessed various stages of quality control, processing, and packaging.

Throughout the visit, students were thoroughly acquainted with the areas of activity of the enterprise, product diversity and production reliability. It was emphasized that by supporting the training of young specialists and exposing them to real production environments, Zarat Poultry Factory contributes to the advancement of the country’s agriculture and food industry. The facility boasts an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons and manufactures 12 different types of poultry feed. These feeds are tailored to different age groups of birds and include high-quality additives sourced from Brazil, Argentina, Russia, Germany, Belgium, and Turkey. The presence of ISO 22000:2018 and Halal certifications in the production process affirms the Factory’s compliance with international food safety and religious standards, fostering consumer confidence in the quality and safety of the products.

It should be noted that Zarat Import Export LLC is an agricultural group of companies engaged in supply, storage, and production activities since 2005. We extend our sincere thanks to Vugar Gardashov, the founder of the Zarat Group of Companies, for his cooperation and for creating this valuable opportunity for our students.
