The Department of Translation and Philology at Azerbaijan University organized a training session on “Best practices for written translation in a professional environment”. The session, designed for students specializing in Translation (English) and Philology (English), as well as the faculty members was conducted by Oqtay Ismayil, a lecturer from the Department.

During the training, participants received comprehensive information about the key stages of the written translation process within professional translation agencies, the challenges they may encounter, and strategies for overcoming them. Important aspects were clarified, including the acceptance of materials and documents for translation, the negotiation of contract terms, rules for transliteration and transcription, and delivery of completed documents to clients.

The interactive session concluded with an open discussion and a Q&A segment.
