An interactive session on the topic “Conflicts in Tourist Groups” was organized

An interactive session on the topic “Conflicts in tourist groups: causes and solutions” was organized by Lala Babayeva, senior lecturer at the Department of Social Work Organization at Azerbaijan University. The session was conducted as part of the course “Tourist behavior and psychology” and was attended by third-year students majoring in “Tourism Organization” and “Socio-Psychological Services in Education”.

Group work among students was carried out in the interactive session. Students of the Tourism Organization specialty identified behavioral strategies for working with tourists, applying various therapeutic methods. They also participated in role-playing activities, simulating the operations of different travel companies. Through collaborative analysis, the groups explored the root causes of conflicts within tourist groups and discussed psychological approaches to conflict resolution.

In the second phase of the session, students majoring in Socio-Psychological Services in Education developed psychological tests related to tourist behavior and psychology that were then applied jointly with the tourism students. This approach allowed participants to both reinforce their theoretical knowledge and enhance their practical skills.

The interactive lesson was designed to foster a culture of peer learning and collaboration among students while also showcasing the practical application of psychological approaches within the tourism industry.
