Azerbaijan University Hosts Meeting with Representative of “MilliSec” Cybersecurity Company
Azerbaijan University continues to hold meetings with representatives of the business sector. The next meeting was with Afsana Mustafazada, Director of the Business and International Relations Development Department of MilliSec cybersecurity company. Leyla Agamaliyeva, Head of the Education Department of Azerbaijan University, Kamran Rzayev, Head of the HR Department, and Asif Pashayev, Dean of the ICT Faculty, attended the meeting.
During the event, Leyla Agamalieva emphasized that Azerbaijan University has always placed great importance on collaboration with the business world. Asif Pashayev provided an overview of the University’s bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in information security and cybersecurity, highlighting the existing infrastructure and curriculum. The dean also noted that the University actively cooperates with the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (AKTA) and that strengthening partnerships with businesses and government entities remains one of the University’s priorities. Director of the Career Development Department Kamran Rzayev spoke about the traditional career exhibitions held at the University and invited MilliSec company to participate in the next career exhibition.
The representative of MilliSec Afsana Mustafazada emphasized the company’s strong commitment to training highly skilled professionals in cybersecurity and its ongoing collaborations with universities for this purpose. She stated that Millisec actively promotes various initiatives and implements projects aimed at enhancing students' theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as facilitating their transition into real-world work environments.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on potential areas of collaboration, including organizing internship programs for students, creating employment opportunities for top-performing interns, conducting masterclasses and infosessions at the University, joint research projects, developing a cybersecurity laboratory, etc. It was emphasized that this cooperation would contribute to training highly qualified cybersecurity professionals and fostering industry development. Preliminary discussions were also held regarding the preparation of a memorandum of cooperation and agreements on specific areas of collaboration.
