An exhibition titled “44 Days equal to a Century” has opened at Azerbaijan University on the occasion of September 27 – Remembrance Day and November 8 – Victory Day. The exhibition is dedicated to honoring the memory of all our soldiers and officers, the martyrs who fought heroically during the 44-day Patriotic War and sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country. The exhibition presents, in chronological order, the course of the Patriotic War, an epic of heroism, displayed across 44 slides.

The main purpose of the exhibition is to inform students about the historic victory in the Patriotic War and to preserve the memory of our heroic sons who died for the Motherland.

It should be noted that on September 27, 2020, in response to large-scale provocations by the Armenian armed forces along the entire frontline, the Azerbaijani Army launched a counter-offensive operation. The glorious Patriotic War ended with a brilliant Victory and the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, bringing an end to 30 years of occupation. The grand Triumphal March under the leadership of the victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev has been inscribed in the history of Azerbaijan in golden letters.

The exhibition was organized in accordance with the plan of events held within the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty” at Azerbaijan University, and in line with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 28 December 2024.
