Azerbaijan University continues to expand its international relations
Azerbaijan University continues to expand and deepen its international cooperation relations. In recent years, the University has also signed cooperation agreements with higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, and has been implementing joint scientific events and projects.
In this context, the first steps were taken towards cooperation with another higher education institution in the fraternal country. Thus, a delegation led by the rector of the Institute of Social and Political Sciences of Uzbekistan, Muzafar Mamayusupov, visited Azerbaijan University. The guests met with the rector of the University, PhD in Philology Saadat Aliyeva, and were acquainted with the University’s academic building, facilities, classrooms, centres, and laboratories.
During the meeting between the two parties, which was also attended by Vice-Rector for General Affairs Vusal Aliyev, Rector Saadat Aliyeva provided the delegation with detailed information about the University she leads, outlining its goals in the areas of education, research, infrastructure, international relations, and cooperation. The guest, Rector Muzafar Mamayusupov, in turn, spoke about the Institute of Social and Political Sciences, noting that cooperation between the universities would serve as a new contribution to Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations, which continue to develop and grow stronger with each passing day.
At the end of the meeting, where the parties also exchanged views on potential areas of collaboration, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed. The document was signed by Rectors Saadat Aliyeva and Muzafar Mamayusupov and reflected matters of mutual interest.
