The International Conference on Social Work & Social Research is organized by Azerbaijan University, Washington University in St. Louis (USA), Sakarya University (Türkiye) and the Center for Social Research (Azerbaijan). The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to discuss current issues in the fields of social work and social policy. By facilitating the exchange of knowledge and insights, the conference seeks to elevate the well-being of vulnerable populations.
The themes for this conference include (but are not limited to) social work in times of crisis, the development of social work education, the creation of international educational standards in social work, the social protection of vulnerable groups, and innovative social policy.

Call for Abstracts
The conference chairs welcome abstract submissions for presentations on a broad range of relevant topics and particularly welcome submissions on the following conference subthemes:
Vulnerable groups: the search for social protection

Instruction for Authors
- The official language of the conference is English, and only English written abstracts will be considered.
- Abstracts should not exceed three pages (three full pages preferred).
- Authors must strictly follow the abstract template: Template.docx.
- Authors will have 15 minutes for oral presentations.
- Submit abstracts prepared in the Conference style and a presenter registration form (below) to SW-SR@au.edu.az.

- 30 August 2023: Abstract submission deadline
- 15 September 2023: Acceptance notification
- 30 September 2023: Deadline for presenters to confirm participation
- 10 October: Release of the program
Publication
Abstracts of papers accepted for presentation at the Conference will be published in the conference proceedings book.
Presenters are encouraged to submit full conference papers for a special issue of SOCIAL ISSUES, the open-access peer-reviewed journal published by Azerbaijan University. The deadline for submission is 25 December 2023.

- Tour to the old city and Palace of the Shirvanshahs Museum
