Student Youth Organization
The Student Youth Organization of Azerbaijan University, established on December 15, 2005, ensures the active participation of students in public life based on shared interests and the principle of volunteerism. The main objective of the organization is to represent and protect the interests of students, both collectively and individually, in the implementation of state youth policy, as well as to promote their active involvement in the social, cultural, and socio-economic life of the country. The SYO supports students` ideas, initiatives, and proposals and facilitates their implementation.

The Student Youth Organization of Azerbaijan University was recognized as the “Best Student Youth Organization” of the year at the “Best of the Best - 2013” awards ceremony established by the Main Department of Youth and Sports of Baku City.
The organization was also awarded an honorary decree by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Main Department of Youth and Sports of Baku City for its active participation in the implementation of the “State Program for Azerbaijani Youth 2011-2015” on the occasion of February 2 - Azerbaijan Youth Day.
Chairman Rasul Dadashov was elected “Student Youth Organization Chairman of the Year” by the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations Union at the Republican Forum of Student Youth Organizations held on the occasion of February 2 - Azerbaijan Youth Day in 2024.
Chairman Huseyn Rustamli was awarded an honorary order in 2025 for his significant contribution to the implementation of state youth policy. Deputy Chairman Yusif Nabizada was nominated for the title “Student Youth Representative of the Year” for his outstanding contribution to successful program-based activities.
