At Azerbaijan University a meeting was held with a delegation from Almaty Management University
A business meeting was held at Azerbaijan University with the leadership of Almaty Management University (AlmaU) of Kazakhstan. The meeting was attended by President of Almaty Management University Assylbek Kozhakhmetov, Dean of the Graduate School of Business Ksenia Yuzhaninova-Karadenizli, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Azerbaijan University Yusif Gasimov, Advisor to the Rector and Director of the International Center for Master’s and Doctoral Studies Nushaba Guliyeva, and Head of the International Relations Department Elmira Ismayilova.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the implementation of the objectives arising from the memorandum signed in 2018. The importance of expanding cooperation opportunities was emphasized, and discussions focused on new areas of collaboration, the implementation of joint scientific research projects, the intensification of student and academic staff exchange programs, as well as cooperation and exchange of experience within MBA programs. The meeting also addressed issues related to strengthening the strategic partnership between higher education institutions of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, approaches to responding to global challenges in higher education, and the international accreditation of academic programs.
It should be noted that the university, located in Almaty, Kazakhstan, is one of the region’s leading higher education institutions in the fields of business education and management. With a history spanning more than 35 years, Almaty Management University has played a pioneering role in the development of business education across the post-Soviet region. It is recognized as the first business school established in Kazakhstan and has made a significant contribution to the development of the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Offering a wide range of academic programs in business, management, economics, and entrepreneurship, the University was also among the first higher education institutions in Kazakhstan to introduce MBA (Master of Business Administration) and DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) programs.
