Azerbaijan University and Istanbul Beykent University sign a Memorandum of Cooperation
A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between Azerbaijan University and Istanbul Beykent University of Turkiye. The Memorandum was signed by Rector of Azerbaijan University, PhD in Philology, Saadat Aliyeva, and Rector of Beykent University, Professor Volkan Öngel. Under the Memorandum, the two institutions have committed to implementing faculty and student exchange programs, organizing joint projects and academic events, conducting collaborative research, and cooperating in various academic and scientific fields.
Prior to the signing ceremony, a meeting was held to discuss the scope and areas of cooperation. At the meeting, Azerbaijan University was represented by University Rector Saadat Aliyeva, Vice-rector for Scientific Affairs, Doctor of Mathematics Yusif Gasimov, Rector’s Advisor and director of the International Graduate and Doctoral Studies Center, PhD in History, assoc. prof. Nushaba Guliyeva, and Head of the International Relations Department Elmira Ismayilova; while Istanbul Beykent University was represented by its Rector Volkan Öngel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Erkan Çelik, Head of International Relations Department Aybala Yavuzarslan, and student affairs coordinator Serhat Butur.
During the meeting, rectors Saadat Aliyeva and Volkan Öngel shared overviews of the history and academic missions of their respective universities, highlighting offered degree programs, internationally accredited specialties, international relations and cooperation, scientific activities, and the institutions’ standings in international rankings. The discussions also touched upon the development of dual degree programs and other areas of mutual interest, with both parties outlining their strategic goals for long-term collaboration.
