The 10th International Conference on Computational Mathematics and Engineering Sciences (CMES-2026) was held on April 24-26 at Beykent University in Istanbul, Türkiye, with the participation of Azerbaijan University. The Honorary Committee of the Conference included prominent scholars from leading scientific centers around the world. Among its members were the Rector of Azerbaijan University, PhD in Philology Saadat Aliyeva, and Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs, Doctor of Mathematical Sciences Yusif Gasimov.

The traditional Conference aims to strengthen cooperation among researchers working in the field of computational mathematics, present new scientific findings, and facilitate the exchange of experience among invited speakers. The event provided a broad academic platform for scholars and specialists to discuss the latest developments in theoretical and applied mathematics, as well as engineering sciences. Within the framework of the Conference, plenary sessions and panel meetings dedicated to various aspects of computational mathematics and engineering sciences were organized.

Azerbaijan University was represented at the international event by Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs Yusif Gasimov. In addition to delivering a plenary lecture, Yusif Gasimov also chaired the first plenary session of the Conference.

The Conference brought together distinguished scientists, researchers, and experts from various countries, who discussed recent innovations, current challenges, and scientific research outcomes in the fields of computational mathematics and engineering sciences.

The CMES conference series will continue to unite the international scientific community and contribute to the advancement of computational mathematics and engineering sciences.

It should be noted that, alongside Azerbaijan University, the conference was co-organized by Fırat University (Türkiye), Final International University (TRNC), Moulay Ismail University (Morocco), Moroccan Private University, Beykent University (Türkiye), Dicle University (Türkiye), Harran University (Türkiye), Van Yuzuncu Yil University (Türkiye), Manas University (Kyrgyzstan), Ordu University (Türkiye), Erzurum Technical University (Türkiye), and Inonu University (Türkiye).

According to the decision of the Organizing Committee, this year’s conference was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Doctor of Mathematical Sciences, Professor Etibar Panahli.
