Rector of Azerbaijan University, PhD in Philology Saadat Aliyeva, together with a University delegation, visited the Children’s Shelter and Reintegration Center operating under the “Children of Azerbaijan” Public Union. During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the conditions created for the children living at the Center, showed interest in their upbringing and development, and visited an exhibition featuring children’s handmade works.

Director of the Center Kamala Agazada provided detailed information about the history and mission of the “Children of Azerbaijan” Public Union and its Children’s Shelter and Reintegration Center, as well as about the children residing there. She noted that the new building of the Center had been constructed with the support of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and highlighted her efforts in child welfare and the protection of children’s rights.

During a tea meeting, Kamala Agazada spoke about the initiatives carried out to support children’s social adaptation, rehabilitation, and integration into the education system, and expressed gratitude to Rector Saadat Aliyeva and the University staff for their attention and support. In turn, the Rector emphasized the significant role of the Center in the lives of children and underlined the importance of providing moral support to vulnerable social groups.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for future cooperation, which were formalized through the signing of a memorandum of understanding. The document was signed by Rector of Azerbaijan University Saadat Aliyeva and Director of the Center Kamala Agazada. According to the memorandum, the parties will cooperate in areas of mutual interest by utilizing their respective resources and expertise.
