A lecture was held on "The Situation of Social Work in Azerbaijan" for first year students studying in Social Work specialty at Azerbaijan University. The lecture, presided by Lamiya Rzayeva, executive director of the Social Work Public Union of Azerbaijan, covers information about the progress and specialization perspectives in the field of social work in the country.

The topic of the lecture was the importance of social work in the development of countries, as well as the formation and training of professions, jobs, the social work situation in Azerbaijan, the organization of social work and the establishment, activity and services of Social Work Public Union, Social Service Law and so on.
