Azerbaijan University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation with the “Together and Healthy” Public Union. The document was signed by Rector, PhD in Philology Saadat Aliyeva, and the Founder and Chairperson of the organization, Aytan Eynalova.

Prior to the signing ceremony, a meeting was held between the parties. The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Rector and Director of the International Center for Master’s and Doctoral Studies, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Nushaba Guliyeva, Head of the Department of Social Work Organization Nigar Shahhuseynbayova, faculty member Aykhan Shahbazsoy, Director of the Center for Socio-Psychological Research and Counseling Aygun Muradli, and coordinator of the Public Union Milana Hasanova.

During the meeting, Rector Saadat Aliyeva briefed the guests on the University’s activities and outlined its work and priorities in the field of social work education. She noted that the Bachelor’s program in Social Work has successfully completed international accreditation, confirming its compliance with global academic standards. The Master’s level program has also completed the active phase of international accreditation. “I am confident that this cooperation will make a significant contribution to the training of qualified personnel and help prepare responsible specialists who will be beneficial to society”, the Rector stated.

Chairperson of the “Together and Healthy” Public Union, Aytan Eynalova, noted that the organization was established to promote the development of an inclusive society in the country and provided detailed information on its areas of activity and ongoing projects. She emphasized that several educational initiatives were first implemented in cooperation with the University during the early years of the organization’s activity, adding that institutional and organizational support from the University played an important role in shaping its development. She also expressed her gratitude to the University administration.

The meeting further included discussions on potential areas of cooperation, including matters related to the implementation of the memorandum.

Under the agreement, the parties will cooperate in organizing joint trainings, seminars and webinars with participation of local and international experts, hosting national and international conferences and educational events, providing students with opportunities for internships and volunteer work at the Association’s Autism Rehabilitation Center, developing dual degree programs in collaboration with local and international higher education institutions, preparing textbooks, and other areas of mutual interest.
