“Conversation Club” concludes its activities for the 2025/2026 academic year

The “Conversation Club” (English-speaking club) operating under the Department of Foreign Languages, has concluded its activities for the 2025/2026 academic year. The Club’s activities were structured in two streams, with sessions organized for both students and administrative staff.

Sessions for students were led by Gunel Azimova, a second-year Marketing student (English-medium) at the Faculty of Business and Economics, who also serves as the chairperson of the Club.

During the final session, dedicated to the topic “Advertising & Neuromarketing”, participants watched a video on the influence of advertising on human decision-making processes, the fundamental principles of neuromarketing, and its role in modern marketing strategies, followed by an exchange of views on the topic and group work activities.

Sessions attended by administrative staff were moderated by Johnae Spain, who joined the academic staff of Azerbaijan University under the U.S. government-funded international Fulbright Exchange Program and serves as a teaching assistant at the Department of Foreign Languages.

It should be noted that the Conversation Club is organized to enhance the spoken English skills of administrative staff and students, as well as to foster an open communicative environment for all participants.
