The event, titled “Career, Business, and Real Market Experience in Cybersecurity”, was organized by the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Organizations Association (AKTA) at Azerbaijan University.

The session was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of ICT, Asif Pashayev, who introduced the guest speaker and highlighted the relevance of the topic. He emphasized that cybersecurity has become of strategic importance for both the public and private sectors in the modern era.

Then, Rovshan Mammadov, Secretary of the AKTA Innovation Committee (Committee for local solutions, products, innovation, and startups), expert, and regional sales manager at Brandefense, delivered a presentation for students on the concept of security and the fundamental principles of cybersecurity. He addressed key issues such as the protection of banking systems, data breaches, phishing attacks, and the role of AI in cyberattacks.

Drawing on real market experience, the expert also spoke about career opportunities in cybersecurity, business development prospects, as well as the knowledge and skills required in this field.

The event, also attended by AKTA representative Rabiyya Khuduyeva, continued with an interactive Q&A session and discussions with students.
