Rector Saadat Aliyeva attends the closing event of the “Learn2Share” project

The closing event of the “Learn2Share” project, jointly organized by Azerbaijan University’s Lifelong Learning Support: Education and Training Center, Quality Assurance Department, and Student Youth Organization, has taken place. Saadat Aliyeva, PhD in Philology, Rector of the University, also attended the event.

At the opening of the event, Samir Salayev, Head of the Education and Training Center, delivered an opening address providing details about the project. He noted that the students participating in the project had been selected through interviews. During April and May, they underwent training sessions covering topics such as “Ways of identifying and researching a problem”, “Techniques for visualizing problem relevance and solutions”, and “Effective speaking: Conveying a message through public speaking”. Today, project participants are applying the knowledge and skills they acquired to present their ideas and share solutions to pressing issues.

Subsequently, 19 students who completed the training modules under the “Learn2Share” project addressed the audience on current topics, demonstrating their presentation and public speaking skills. The presentations successfully reflected the experience and self-expression capabilities gained by the students in the fields of personal development and public speaking.

Following the presentations, Rector Saadat Aliyeva addressed the audience, noting that the Education and Training Center organized the training sessions in alignment with the University’s strategic priorities. The Rector highly commended both the activities of the Center and the performances of the students participating in the “Learn2Share” project. She also emphasized that fostering student initiative and analytical thinking holds great significance for the University, expressing confidence that the project will reach a broader audience in the future and contribute to the generation of new initiatives.

Following her address, Saadat Aliyeva presented participation certificates to the students and joined them for a commemorative group photo.

It should be noted that the “Learn2Share” project aims to develop students' skills in problem researching, visualization, and effective presentation before a wide audience. At the project’s closing ceremony, certificates were also awarded to academic advisors who successfully completed the professional development course “Organization of education and tutoring activities”, conducted jointly by the Education and Training Center and the Quality Assurance Department.
