Article by Azerbaijan University student wins first place
Rashana Jabbarova, a second-year student majoring in Public and Social Relations at Azerbaijan University, delivered a presentation at the International conferences themed around “Actual Problems of Science-2026”, organized by the International Center for Scientific Cooperation “Science and Education”. The topic of her presentation was “The Role of Propaganda in the Transformation of Social Norms: The Influence of Mass Media on Contemporary Society”.
At the international conference, which brought together undergraduate and postgraduate students from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and China, Rashana Jabbarova`s paper was selected by the organizing committee as the best research work in the “Political Science” section and was awarded first place. This achievement reflects the strong research environment fostered at Azerbaijan University, as well as the academic potential developed by students in the field of political and social process analysis.
In her conference paper, the student examined the mechanisms of propaganda employed in modern mass media, the impact of propaganda on the transformation of social norms, and the role of the media in this process. Rashana Jabbarova`s presentation attracted significant interest from international participants, and during the discussions, both the relevance of the topic and the scholarly approach to the research were highly praised.
